Biography

Leighton Marissa Claire Meester was born on April 9th, 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas, which makes her 24 years old. She is a beautiful and talented actress, and a singer songwriter. She was also a model earlier in her life. Her most notable role is Blair in Gossip Girl.

Right after Leighton was born, her mom had to go to prison to finish a sentence. This had Leighton’s grandmother taking care of her. Leighton grew up in Florida where she had gotten interested in acting by playing in local theatre productions. Then her and her mother moved to New York City, where Leighton attended Professional Children’s School. She also began working as a model with Wihemina. Also, she began working in commercials to such as Clearisil and Tamagotchi toys. She then appeared on an episode of Law & Order.

When she 14, she decided to move to Los Angeles to officially start her career. She attended Hollywood High School and Beverly Hills High School. Leighton later then starred in many more films and television series such as Date Night, Going the Distance, Country Strong, The Roommate, and Gossip Girl.

As for Leighton’s music, she is signed with Universal Republic. Her first single was Somebody to Love, featuring Robin Thicke and her second single was Your Love’s A Drug. She was also featuring in Good Girls Go Bad with Cobra Starship which made top 10 on the billboards. Her more recent movie, Country Strong, she has recorded several songs. One was Words I Couldn’t Say, Summer Girl, and a duet with Garret Hedlund called Give In To Me.
